Key Stage 2 Special Educational Needs – Wizard Worksheets
Wizard Worksheets are written by a teacher with a wide range of experience teaching children of all ages who experience difficulties in learning. Some children need work broken into easily understood small steps with frequent re-visiting and multi-sensory practical activities.
Wizard Worksheets contains 160 printable worksheets for each year aimed at those children within a year group who are not ready for either the NNS or Booster programmes and usually have identified Special Needs in Numeracy.
Children who find understanding mathematical concepts difficult need each idea broken into smaller steps with lots of practical activities to support their learning. They often have a problem memorising facts and visualising, so find mental activities difficult. They may also need support in following more than one instruction.
The activities linked to each worksheet are introductory suggestions and can be expanded, repeated and developed according to the needs of the children. They are intended to be a guide, especially useful for teaching assistants, working under the supervision of the class teacher. The activities may take more than one session with the worksheets being completed independently or as homework.
Wizard Worksheets are available for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. The packs come on CD and cost only £20 (+vat) each.

- The CDs contain printable pupil worksheets and comprehensive teacher support material and is ideal for use by inexperienced or non-specialist teachers.
The teachers notes give a clear outline of how the learning intention could be taught and completion of the indexed worksheets should re-enforce the learning and demonstrate understanding and achievement of the learning intention.
Resource sheets are printable resources for practical work, to be used both during teaching sessions and to support independent activities. You can download these Resource sheets here.
Teachers’ notes give Learning Intentions, Vocabulary, Resources and a detailed Lesson Outline with practical activities to underpin the learning. Each Teachers’ Notes sheet is indexed to the corresponding worksheets, for completion by pupils. They are written with the busy teacher in mind, to aid planning and to support less experienced teachers or teaching assistants. Each lesson outline is just that – an outline, and may take one or more session depending on the needs of the pupil(s), with repetition or omission of activities.
